My second trip to Europe was to France. I spent most of my time in Paris, but did go outside of the city one day. For this trip, I decided to do most of the exploring on my own, walking around and using the subway. However, I did use a hop-on, hop-off bus one day, and went on a tour bus when traveling outside of Paris.
The first thing I saw in Paris was, of course, the Eiffel Tower. I even got to see it at night. I didn’t have a chance to go up the tower, which I do regret.

I got to see the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe, the Basilica of Sacré Coeur de Montmartre, and the Parc des Buttes Chaumont, all of which were amazing.

I went to the Louvre, where I saw the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and the Winged Victory of Samothrace. I bought my ticket online and got there as soon as it opened. I would highly recommend this, as the crowds got bigger and bigger and the lines got longer and longer as the day went on.

The day I took a tour outside of Paris, I visited Claude Monet’s house and gardens in Giverny and the Palace of Versailles.

While I didn’t get to see much of France, what I did see was absolutely stunning, and the food wasn’t bad either.
