I went to China in 2008, a few months before the country hosted the Olympic Games. It was an interesting place, with a mixture of traditional culture and modern commerce.
I stayed there for about a week, in and around Beijing, going on some tours as well as exploring the area on my own.
I visited the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.

I also visited the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace.

I went to Beihai Park.

And I walked along the Great Wall.

Someday, I would like to go back to China, to see the countryside and other cities besides Beijing. I imagine that the more I saw of China, the more diversity and beauty I would encounter.
