As I mentioned on my North America page, I grew up in Costa Rica. I was born and raised there, and I moved away to attend college in the USA. As an adult, I made several trips back to the country of my birth, and was able to see and do things that I wasn’t able to as a child.
The first two pictures I would like to share are of my childhood home and church, respectively.

I grew up on the east coast, in a town called Limon. The best thing about Limon is its main beach, Playa Bonita.

While I took some tours in Costa Rica, I did a lot of exploring on my own or with friends. While a car is necessary to get to some remote places, buses and taxis can take you to many different locations throughout the country.
Costa Rica is a place of great natural beauty. It has national parks, such as Manuel Antonio.

It has hot springs, such as those at La Fortuna.

It has waterfalls, such as those at La Paz Waterfall Gardens.

It has active volcanoes, such as Arenal, Irazu, and Poas.

It has stunning beaches, in places like Puerto Viejo and Punta Uva.

It has incredibly diverse flora and fauna.

While I may be biased in my opinion of Costa Rica, I believe that it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth, and a must-see for any world traveler.
